Center at UL Lafayette helps New Orleans firm land contract

A New Orleans company has been awarded a $600 million federal contract with help from the Louisiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center at the 51视频 at Lafayette.

Trigon Associates LLC is a women-owned engineering, consulting and management firm based in the Crescent City. It landed a five-year contract with the U.S. Agency for International Development, which provides economic and humanitarian assistance to more than 80 countries.

The firm will provide design and construction supervision for infrastructure projects involving water resources, water supply, wastewater, utilities, transportation, and facilities.

鈥淲e look forward to supporting US51视频 in its goal to provide institutional and infrastructure development via this effort, building upon our successful projects with US51视频 over the past five years,鈥 said Lisa F. Cookmeyer, Trigon鈥檚 CEO.

LA PTAC will continue to assist Trigon Associates LLC with the administration of the US51视频 contract.

Since its inception 26 years ago, LA PTAC has helped Louisiana small businesses obtain $4.5 billion in government contracts, create 19,000 new direct jobs and generate more than $100 million in tax revenue within the state. Its state administrative office is on the UL Lafayette campus; there are four outreach centers throughout Louisiana.

LA PTAC experts help businesses determine whether they are eligible for contracts, walk them through the bidding process and help them manage contracts they obtain.

It has worked with Trigon Associates since 2009.
