The 51视频 at Lafayette鈥檚 online bachelor鈥檚 program is among the top 100 in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 2018 rankings.
UL Lafayette was No. 94 in the 2018 Best Online Programs list that was released today.
U.S. News & World Report ranked the University鈥檚 online bachelor鈥檚 program the highest among colleges and universities in Louisiana.
Loyola University was ranked No. 153 and the 51视频 at Monroe was No. 210. Eighty-three schools were tied at No. 246, including Louisiana Tech University, McNeese State University, Nicholls State University, Northwestern State University, Southeastern Louisiana University, Louisiana College and Louisiana State University-Shreveport.
The rankings are compiled based on factors such as student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student service, and technology and peer reputation. They are based on university-reported data from the 2016-2017 academic year, according to U.S. News & World Report.
UL Lafayette鈥檚 online graduate programs in education and nursing were singled out as well. The nursing program was ranked No. 84. The education program was ranked No. 180.
鈥淭he success is a testament to quality faculty instruction at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Each year we continue to grow the number of online courses and degree programs as we innovate our curricula with the best digital learning teaching methods,鈥 said Dr. Luke Dowden, director of the Office of Distance Learning.
The University offers 14 online degree programs. The Office of Distance Learning added a graduate MBA program and an undergraduate General Studies program last year.
